Redistricting 2011

In accordance with Section 5, Article VII of the Constitution of Virginia, the City of Hopewell has undertaken the task of redistricting the City’s seven (7) electoral wards based on the population data resulting from the 2010 Census. 

City Council will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers in the Municipal Building located at 300 N. Main Street to receive citizen comment on the proposed 2011 Redistricting Plan.  Copies of the map depicting the current city wards, as well as the proposed redistricting of the wards, are on file with the City Clerk and in the Department of the Development in Room 319 of the Municipal Building, and available for review below.
