First settled in 1613, the City of Hopewell is rich in history, serving as one of the oldest continuously inhabited site in the new world, second only to Jamestown. A continual goal of Hopewell is the promotion of strong, sustainable neighborhoods for residents. The expansion of several housing projects currently under way represents the most significant increase in housing opportunities since the mid-1980s.
