Please check with your coach for specific time for each team’s picture. Players should wear their full uniform for pictures. Pictures will be taken at Atwater Soccer Complex. Winter Indoor Soccer For ages 6-12. Soccer is a great way for young athletes to stay active while learning how to be successful in a team environment. Practices and games will be held on Saturdays. Jerseys and socks will be provided. Participants must provide their own shin guards, black shorts and footwear. No cleats allowed. Competitive Divisions Ages 6-8 (U9) Ages 9-12 (U13) Dec 12-Feb 8. HCC. $20/resident. $25/non-resident. Registration ends Nov 21. Recreation League Basketball For ages 5-16. Basketball is an excellent way for young athletes to stay active while learning how to be successful in a team environment. Sportsmanship will be an emphasis of each league. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings. Jerseys will be provided. Participants must provide their own black shorts. Jan 4-Mar 11. Resident: $20. Non-resident: $25. Volunteer Coaches Needed Youth sports programs benefit young athletes in a variety of ways. These programs are made possible by the countless volunteer coaches that give thier time and effort throughout the year. Give back to your community today by helping shape the future of young athletes. All volunteer coaches must pass a background check before participating in any league. Volunteer head coaches are entitled to a free annual membership at the Hopewell Community Center.

Other Sports ProgramsPickleball For ages 18+. The sport of pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton-sized court with a paddle and plastic whiffle ball. Test your reflexes without the physical stress of traditional racquet sports. No previous experience necessary. Badminton is a fun sport that requires good hand-eye coordination and quick reflexes. The game is easy to learn and can be played competitively or just for fun. Equipment will be provided. Join us for an exciting workshop that will teach participants the basic skills needed to play disc golf. This fun sport can be played almost anywhere. Youth Wrestling Clinic For ages 10-15. HHS Varsity Wrestling Coach Richard Halas and his staff will teach participants basic wrestling skills at this fun and informative clinic. Register on the days of the clinic. Midnight Basketball Sponsored by Councilor Gore and Recreation and Parks For ages 13-18. Calling all hoop stars! Show off your skills to see who is the best baller in town! The event will feature an agility challenge, 3-point contest, free throw contest and 3-on-3 double elimination tournament. Refreshments will be provided. No children will be allowed as spectators without adult supervision. Each participant must have a liability waiver completed by a parent. A parent must be present before participants are released at the conclusion of the event. Sat, Nov 14, 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Hopewell Community Center. Free. Archery Classes For ages 10+. This course will teach the basics of target archery, including range safety and proper technique. Participants will learn to shoot recurve bows, compound bows, and crossbows.
