Recreation League Basketball
For ages 5-16. Basketball is an excellent way for young athletes to stay active while learning how to be successful in a team environment. Sportsmanship will be an emphasis of each league. Practices and games will be held on weekday evenings. Jerseys will be provided. Participants must provide their own black shorts.

Spring Soccer Registration is Now Open! 

For ages 3-13. Soccer is a great way for young athletes to stay   active while learning how to be successful in a team environment. Practice and game schedule will be determined at coaches meeting on Feb 17. Practices will be held on weekday evenings and games will be played on Saturdays. Jerseys and socks will be provided. Participants must provide their own shin guards and black shorts.

Baseball/Softball Registration Opens February 1!

Hopewell Recreation and Parks is excited to announce that all youth baseball and softball programs are now part of the Dixie Youth Network. Being a part of the network provides additional resources for coaches and organizers, a well-organized approach to rules and policies, and increased opportunities for both recreational and competitive play. Registration Information
Baseball/softball registration opens February 1. Registration will     remain open until all team spaces are filled or until the beginning of the season. Late registration will be granted, if possible, on a case-by-case basis. The Department of Recreation and Parks reserves the right to close registration at any time and for any reason. Please register early!

Volunteer Coaches Needed
Youth sports programs benefit young athletes in a variety of ways. These programs are made possible by the countless volunteer coaches that give thier time and effort throughout the year. Give back to your community today by helping shape the future of young athletes. All volunteer coaches must pass a background check before participating in any league. Volunteer head coaches are entitled to a free annual membership at the Hopewell Community Center.

Other Sports Programs


For ages 18+. The sport of pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. The game is played on a badminton-sized court with a paddle and plastic whiffle ball. Test your reflexes without the physical stress of traditional racquet sports. No previous experience necessary. Equipment will be provided.
Mon & Wed, 10 a.m.-noon.
HCC Gym. Free with membership (daily fees apply).
