DMV Select

The Hopewell DMV Select, operated by Commissioner of the Revenue Debra Kloske Reason, and Treasurer Teresa Batton, becomes the 14th DMV Select office to offer E-ZPass transponders and joins DMV’s 40 customer service centers and mobile offices across the state already selling E-ZPass.

DMV contracts local governments to conduct mostly vehicle-related transactions at DMV Select offices. Transactions that can be conducted at DMV Select offices include vehicle titles and registrations, license plates, disabled parking placards, driver transcripts, voter registration applications, and more.

Our goal is to provide convenient services to our customers, said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. Hopewell residents can now pick up an E-ZPass transponder and renew their vehicle registration in one stop. We thank our partners for adding this transaction to their service offerings.

E-ZPass is an electronic toll-collection system that makes paying tolls fast and easy. The tolls are paid from the customer’s prepaid E-ZPass account that can be connected to the user’s bank or credit card accounts for auto-replenishment. Virginia’s E-ZPass On-the-Go can be obtained for $35 and used immediately with a $15 toll credit. The remaining $20 toll credit is available for tolls when the transponder is registered, online via E-ZPass's Virginia website or by telephone at 877-762-7824 or 800-828-1120 (for TTY users).
