It’s time to bring the holiday spirit to Hopewell! We are requesting applications for the Holiday Tour of Lights. Help us create a magical season of festive lights and holiday cheer. This event is designed to bring joy and delight to our community during the holiday season, showcasing the creativity and spirit of our residents.
The Holiday Tour of Lights is a self-guided tour that allows participants to explore the neighborhood and admire the beautifully decorated houses.
There are no categories or competitions involved, as the main focus is on creating a joyful experience for everyone in the community.
The Holiday Tour of Lights is a free event made possible by the generosity and creativity of our community members. We invite everyone to participate and spread the holiday spirit throughout our neighborhood.
Registration will remain open through November 27. All decorations must be in place for inspection by November 30. Homes that do not meet the criteria will not be included on the published list. The Tour of Lights will begin on Friday, December 1 and continue through Sunday, December 31.
Recommended viewing hours are Monday-Sunday, 5p.m.-9p.m. Please note that participation will result in a steady stream of traffic on your street. Parking, traffic, and neighbors should be taken into consideration before joining the contest. Homes with political signage, code violations, or inappropriate displays will not be included on the list of homes.
Reminders:
- Please do not disturb participants during your viewing. Touching decorations, personal property, or knocking on the doors is prohibited
- Traffic laws must be followed at all times
- All passengers should be properly secure while vehicle is in motion, i.e. wearing seatbelts or properly secured in a car seat or booster seat
- Please do not block driveways or mailboxes
- Vehicles should not stop in the middle of the road
- Please be respectful of others
- Please be appreciative of those who decorated for your viewing pleasure
