Career
The Reverend Vodricka L. Epps honorably served twenty-two years in the United States Army, retiring September of 2013 at the rank of Master Sergeant from Fort Lee, Virginia. He was called to serve as the 11th Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church (MCBC) in Hopewell, Virginia, on May 11, 2016, and preached his first sermon as Pastor of Mount Calvary Sunday, July 24, 2016, at the 11 am worship hour.
Other Involvements
In addition to serving as an Independent Certified Coach, Teacher, Trainer, and Speaker with The John Maxwell Team, Pastor Epps is also the Founder and CEO of Eppic Enterprises LLC., a corporation committed to growing and developing leaders. Furthermore, he serves as Academic Dean Hopewell Campus for The Tabernacle Divinity School in Hopewell, Virginia, and on the Hopewell Police Chief Advisory Committee as a board member representing the Faith Community in the City of Hopewell. Pastor Epps is passionate about proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ, making the Word of God relevant in the lives of believers, and building the Kingdom of God in the congregation and community.
Family
Vodricka is united in holy matrimony with his friend and sweetheart, the former Tracy Gray. Their holy union has blessed them with three children, Ja'Lainna, Timothy, Ameerah, and their first grandchild Zemira.
